We had a BIG storm last week. I’ve never heard or seen such big winds! (Neither had our trees.) The trees in our back yard acted like they were listening to music instead of wind. They were dancing and throwing things all over like a bunch of wild animals. What a mess they made! What a party they had! They tossed pinecones around all night long, and didn’t care who was trying to sleep.
During the storm, I prayed that the trees would hang on tight at their roots and quit acting so ticklish. It was kind of exciting because over a million people lost power, including us.
It was really strange to turn on a light switch and have nothing happen! We had to use lanterns, candles, and flashlights to see. That made me think–
The reason why so many people were sitting in the dark was that they had lost power.
It is the same way with God things:
The reason people sit in the dark during life storms is because they have lost their power. They need to check their Trust Lines, Faith Lines, and Speaking-Right Lines for damage.
Not having power is a big thing. It means you will be in the dark more than you want. It also means that you can’t do as many things.
It’s simple: if you want to have power, you have to be connected to something (or Someone) that has power.
God is all the power we need. He never runs out! The only thing we have to do to be powerful is stay connected with Him.
